The Glory of Goldens

These lovable, well-mannered dogs are always patient and gentle with children, and are a popular, loving family dog. Goldens are friendly to everyone, including other dogs, and are very active and energetic, so they need to exercise quite often. Many of the rescue dogs used during 9/11 were Golden Retrievers. One of the last surviving rescue dogs was a Golden, who lived to be almost 17 years old. Golden Retrievers are also used as therapy dogs and guide dogs, due to their cheerful, loyal, and trustworthy personality.
